Now that my October autumn break is over, it's time to get back to work! At the moment, I'm updating all my e-books and creating paperback editions for them. It's fun but laborious and sometimes we need a little motivation to keep going.
One huge incentive is when kind readers tell an author how much they're enjoying one of their books. Not only am I delighted to receive some very positive comments about my latest novel, Highcrag, but I can see that some of my other books are being bought. It makes it worth while to know that our words are being read.
I love quotes and collect them in a very small hardback notebook, but I also enjoy these larger signs containing words of wisdom. One is on the wall of a favourite café and the other I discovered in the window of a shop. Both are my motivation for today!
